Aiki Santé© (literally translated as Aiki Health), a method to improve your well-being, is a mixture of different traditional Chinese and Japanese disciplines, developed by Nadine Zenthner in the mid-90s.

As we are forced to bend to the rhythms of a hectic world, it is time to take a break … .

Create a ritual, reconnect with yourself, discover yourself, appreciate every minute, rediscover forgotten instinctive reflexes. Such as a deep sigh that a child will utter if reprimanded, or a good stretch followed by a yawn after a long sitting position … .

Simple gestures, a good technique of breathing and energy circulation, overcoming agitation to reach serenity and calmly face any situation.

For body and mind to be in harmony …… Aiki Santé©.

Aiki Santé© Includes Several Disciplines to improve your well-being

Our functionings depend directly or indirectly on good ventilation. Breathing, the symbol of life and health, has always been at the heart of human concerns. “Breathe better, relax, be more relaxed, control your breathing”.
The practice of Aiki Santé© allows one to become aware of breath itself. Optimal breathing has a powerful and positive effect on the heart, circulation, immune system, organs, muscles and joints

Stretching And Relaxation

Aiki Santé© releases stress and tension through an approach to stretching exercises that combines current knowledge with the main principles of Eastern philosophical thought.
The stretching movements themselves allow to lengthen all the stiff muscles. Because these stretches are progressive and are carried out at one’s own pace. As a result a supple and relaxed body brings physical and mental balance.

Self massage

An Aiki Santé© session starts with a self-massage (DO IN). First of all, to activate the subcutaneous blood circulation. Basically, to eliminate toxins, to soothe oneself, and then, to realise that the session has begun, and that we must “listen” to our body. Aiki Santé© develops sensitivity and a better perception of the body’s messages

Movements to improve your well-being

These WA DO movements promote the development of calm and self-control. Therefore they strengthen vitality. The aim is to achieve a deep and lasting feeling of total body well-being and quiet power in relaxation, without tension.

Stretching Exercises

An important aspect of Dao Yin is the alternating phases of activity and relaxation. In addition, physical alignment and movement exercises restore the spine and give the body strength, promoting the flow of energy.

Physcial and Mental Relaxation

Exercises that lead to relaxation require learning passivity, i.e. muscle rest. Therefore, this muscular rest is the natural remedy against fatigue. Certain “letting go” positions are necessary during an Aiki Santé© session.

Conclusion to improve your well-being

Aiki Santé©, through its stretching, a good management of breathing, its massages, its soft movements ….. allows to become one aware of one’s body with all its articulations, so that it can express itself freely.

The practice of Aiki Santé© allows therefore to manage stress, and develops a state of well-being, serenity and harmonious balance.

When to practice?

Practised in the morning, Aiki Santé© invigorates and brings certainly a feeling of well-being and relaxation.

Practised in the evening, Aiki Santé© leads to physical and mental relaxation.

Practised during the day, good breathing, gentle stretching and self-massages, as soon as tensions arise (for example in the trapezius, neck or back), hence the importance of developing sensitivity and being attentive to the body’s messages.

Who can practice?

Aiki Santé© can be practiced at any age, stress is the “disease” of the century and above all, leads to aches and tensions that accumulate unconsciously.

“Man must preserve himself from illness in order not to have to fight against it. He who does not try to prevent ailments, but waits for them to appear before taking care of himself, is like a man who digs a well when he is already in the throes of thirst”(Nei-King, 200 B.C.)
